Frequently asked questions
Open Water certification is the minimum. Most dives are suitable for recreational divers and divemasters are in the water with every group. Advanced Open Water is recommended for specific deeper sites, but is not required for every dive on the trip.

Included: cabin, all meals and non-alcoholic drinks, 12–14 guided dives (including night dives), tanks, weights and gear storage. Not included: flights, transfers to La Paz, nitrox, personal equipment rental, alcoholic drinks, marine park fees, and dive insurance (strongly recommended).
Yes. Nitrox is available on board for certified Nitrox divers at an additional cost. Ask about nitrox pricing when you enquire.
Not mandatory but strongly recommended. DAN (Divers Alert Network) is the most widely used provider. We also recommend travel insurance covering trip cancellation and medical emergencies at sea.
August is peak season in the Sea of Cortés. Water temperatures reach 28–30°C, whale sharks are regularly spotted in La Paz bay, and sea lion pup season makes Los Islotes especially playful and active. Visibility averages 15–25m and night dives bring out a completely different cast of species. One of the best months in the calendar.
