Your journey begins at the Marina in La Paz, where you’ll board a comfortable 33’ catamaran. Equipped with green technology and wheelchair accessibility, the boat offers both sun and shade, a full bathroom, freshwater shower, and easy access to the sea. It’s perfect for families and kids 8 and older!

Our expert guide will give you safety instructions and provide all the necessary equipment before we sail toward the whale shark refuge, that is considered one of the best sites to perform this activity. Following strict conservation regulations, we may have a short wait to enter the designated area, but during this time, we can explore nearby reefs or enjoy the beautiful scenery of La Paz.

Once we reach the right spot, you’ll can jump in and swim alongside these gentle giants. Our crew will be by your side, guiding you every step of the way to ensure your safety and respect for the whale sharks. These peaceful creatures grow up to 12 meters long, feeding on tiny plankton and small fish, and pose no threat to humans, experience of a lifetime.

After your swim, we’ll serve snacks, fruits, and beverages on board. Alcoholic drinks, like beer, are only offered after the swim to make sure everyone stays safe.

As we head back to the marina, you’ll enjoy the breathtaking views of La Paz Bay, with its beautiful turquoise waters. You’ll finish the tour where it began, and from there, if you have time, you can explore the nearby historic center of La Paz.

IMPORTANT NOTES

Please consider that activity is performed in accordance with the Regulation Plan of Rhincodon Typus (Whale Shark) for the protection and preservation by observation and swimming of SEMARNAT Mexico and that this species is protected by the official norm NOM-059-SEMARNAT-2010. The authorities are in charge of designating the schedules of entering the regulated area and the time we can spend in it and can be cancelled with a prior notice of 24 hours or closed for conservation reasons.
When booking in comments please add all participants shoe sizes for the fins and the approximate size for the wetsuit.
When booking with transportation please request one of the two breakfast options.
Tour may be canceled due to weather conditions without prior notice, without penalty for either party.
